Nervous going into minimum wage job

24 Sep

The thing is that it’s more than just the money. I’m actually nervous about the 8 hour shift I have coming up…a minimum wage job as a sales clerk at a bookstore.

As far as jobs go, you’d be hard pressed to find a less stressful one than ‘bookmonger.’ Add to that the fact that I used to teach CEOs how to do their jobs (part of them anyway). I wasn’t intimidated by them or their titles or their net worth.

And today, I’ve got to pop a clonazepam before helping somebody find a book to read.
